New Teachers

Welcome!

All new teachers are required to attend New Teacher Induction before the school year begins. Gadsden Elementary School District's New Teacher Induction is a learning opportunity where new teachers are introduced to the district programs, curriculum, instructional practices, and expectations. 

Our Goal

Gadsden Elementary School District #32 aims to provide high quality training and support in order to improve teaching and learning for all. We will accomplish this through data-driven targeted support for new teachers throughout the school year.

New Teacher Induction

New Teacher Induction is a two-day training session for teachers who are new to Gadsden Elementary School District #32. The objective of this training is to introduce new teachers to the district's curriculum and programs along with best teaching practices. New teachers will be provided with essential skills aligned to district practices and that will help prepare them for the school year ahead.

Overview of Teacher Expectations 

Classroom Management 101

Curriculum Review 

Lesson Planning 

Introduction to TAP 

EL Strategies

 

 New Teacher Training 

New Teacher Training is meant to be a learning opportunity for all participants where they are able to expand their professional learning and acquire skills that will support them in experiencing success throughout the school year. New teachers will have multiple opportunities to participate in new teacher specific training that will support their learning and growth throughout the school year. 

 

 New Teacher Training includes: 

New Teacher Induction 

New Teacher Track for Pre-Service Training days 

6 New Teacher training sessions with district consultant 

On-site New Teacher support
