Visual Arts/Gardening Academy

The purpose of the Gadsden Elementary School District #32 Visual Arts Academy is to promote our children's inherent artistic values through the development of drawing, painting and 3-D sculpture skills. To achieve this we will provide the necessary materials and tools to expose them to different mediums to explore the nature of perception.

Objectives:

• Students will learn techniques and strategies to create art that will stimulate emotions, reflect their personalities, their own culture and others, in order to influence arts within the community.
• Students will be able to communicate ideas through various practices of media, genre, styles, and form.
• Students will be able to utilize art as a way of expressing their feelings, opinions and thoughts.
