good morning Desert View Jaguars and our community on the very very proud principal at Desert View Elementary School my name is Meredith Nelson and a couple things I want you to know about our school we have had six years in a row 8 we've been ranked number one and number three in Yuma County and we've been in the top 10% of Arizona for the last several years were so proud of that I'm part of that is because we have very high expectations with a lot of support we have a lot we have classes such as act we also started a pre act here at Desert View for 4th 5th and 6th graders who just missed that that score to go into a t t so we're going to have them ready for me we are very proud of our clubs we have photography we have art and this year we started a kindness club and our kind of Club is just wanted to spread kindness around the school they're going to be putting up a nice messages in the restrooms collecting cans foods for people in need for Thanksgiving don't be sending cards to the Troops for Christmas and they're working on a little garden to kind of hang out during recess so we're looking forward to that we're also very do we have to know to attend a a w c and take college classes while in sixth grade and just overall we had just have really great kids that want to enjoy their school experience when we have soon account we have like 12 students for every office that run for sports we have 30 kids who come out our kids are just really excited really motivated to do their best at school and always we also have had students have a certain who wanted to be a doctor a little first grader and last year the doctor came and did a presentation to her and her class and gave her a stethoscope and a little doctor's coat cool kids that we have here we have Little Miss down Louise we have so many different students that participate in karate and things outside the school too and just show their pride of Desert View we're so proud of them and you know I could do important we have won two awards from nit I myself won an award for nit for our school scores I want to share model cuz I think that's a huge part of our school every morning I read this to the students except responsibility for actions be accountable for your results and take ownership of your mistakes all in it's very important that students are honest that they admit their mistakes we all learn from those it it's okay we want them to not make excuses for not getting good scores are not doing their best because it's them who get those scores not anyone else so we just got model so important to us and I hope you all follow us on all social media has Facebook our website and 70 questions just let us know thank you
