Gadsden Elementary School District #32 Introduces
Real-Time School Bus Tracking With CrossWalk Route View
SAN LUIS, Ariz. — Gadsden Elementary School District No. 32 has expanded its student transportation services with the launch of Route View, a new feature within the CrossWalk K-12 platform that allows parents and guardians to track their child's school bus in real time.
Launched Monday, Oct. 12, Route View allows families to monitor bus locations, view assigned routes and access scheduled pickup and drop-off information from their smartphones, tablets or computers.
“Student safety is a priority that extends beyond the classroom,” said Superintendent Lizette Esparza. “Through Route View, we are using technology to keep families better informed about their child's daily transportation while providing greater peace of mind.”
Developed by UniteGPS, Route View features an interactive map displaying real-time school bus locations, assigned bus numbers, scheduled stops and arrival times. The feature also allows district transportation personnel to monitor bus locations and routes throughout the school day.
Route View builds on the district's existing CrossWalk system, which uses student identification cards to record when students board and exit school buses. Together, these features give families greater access to transportation information, including bus attendance records and assigned schedules.
“The Governing Board remains committed to supporting initiatives that strengthen student safety and improve services for our community,” said Governing Board President Tadeo A. De La Hoya. “Expanding CrossWalk with Route View is another important step toward improving the transportation experience for our students and families.”
Parents and guardians can access Route View at crosswalk.unitegps.com without downloading an application. To activate their accounts, families should check their child's GESD32.net student email for an invitation from [email protected] with the subject line New UniteGPS Account. The email includes registration instructions.
Once registered, families can access Route View through the platform's main menu to monitor their assigned school bus. The platform is available in English and Spanish.
Through initiatives like CrossWalk Route View, Gadsden continues investing in innovative solutions that strengthen student safety, improve communication and give families greater confidence in the services they rely on every day. These efforts reflect the district's ongoing commitment to creating a safer, more connected and supportive school community.
