San Luis Middle School teacher named Teachers of Tomorrow 2026 National Teacher of the Year

San Luis Middle School teacher Arilene Gaxiola has been named the 2026 National Teacher of the Year by Teachers of Tomorrow. She was recognized during a school assembly and selected as the national winner among nine nominees from across the country, receiving a $5,000 grand prize and a one-year subscription to SimpleK12 professional development. This honor celebrates Gaxiola’s dedication to students and reflects the outstanding work taking place across Gadsden Elementary School District No. 32.
