Health Services Overview

The mission of GESD #32 Health Services is to promote optimal health for optimal learning.

 Staffing

• Each elementary school is staffed by a Certified Nurses Aide (CNA).

 Services

At each school the Certified Nurses Aide (CNA) provides the following services to support Gadsden students:

• Assess individual student health and developmental status
• Promote and maintaining the health and well-being of all students
• Develop health plans for students with health conditions
• Coordinate prevention and control of communicable disease
• Develop a system of first aid and emergency care
• Participate in health education
• Recommend new and updated health policies
