TAP Payout

 
 
TAP Compensation Model 
Every year Gadsden Elementary School District #32 allocates monies to be used for the teacher TAP Payout Award. A TAP Payout is awarded only to Appropriately Certified Teachers who participate in the TAP program as part of the district's adopted performance-based compensation model. Qualifying teachers are grouped into pools based on teaching assignments. The TAP Payout Award monies for each group are allocated as follows: 
    • Classroom Teachers (Career and Mentor Teachers) with student achievement data: 
        • 50% based on Skills, Knowledge, and Responsibilities (SKR)  
        • 30% based on Classroom Achievement
        • 20% based on School-Wide Achievement
    • Classroom Teachers (Career and Mentor Teachers) without student achievement data: 
        • 50% based on Skills, Knowledge, and Responsibilities (SKR) 
        • 50% based on School-Wide Achievement 
    • Master Teachers (Instructional Coaches) 
        • 50% based on Skills, Knowledge, and Responsibilities (SKR) 
        • 50% based on School-Wide Achievement  
 
TAP Payout Requirements
Appropriately Certified teachers are eligible to receive the TAP Payout Award if they meet the following requirements. 
  1. SKR Eligibility Requirements: 
    • In order for teachers to qualify for the SKR (Skills, Knowledge, and Responsibilities) portion of the TAP Payout, they must meet the SKR requirements. This score is combined average of teacher observation and responsibilities survey scores. 
        • Career Teachers must earn a minimum score of a 2.5 for their SKR 
        • Mentor Teachers must earn a minimum score of  a 3.5 for their SKR 
        • Master Teachers must earn a minimum score of a 4 for their SKR
  2. School-Wide Achievement Score Requirements:
    • The school-wide achievement scores is based on overall student growth. All teachers at a school receive the same School-Wide Achievement Score. 
        • The School-Wide Achievement Score must be a score of a 3 or higher. 
  3. Classroom Achievement Score Requirements: 
    • Classroom achievement scores are calculated based on the calculated growth for each class. Only teachers who teach a testing subject/grade qualify for this portion of the payout. 
        • A teacher's Classroom Achievement Score must be a score of a 3 or higher.
